MIS lecture on Monday
This week the topic the lecturer Heider Zuhair Bilal taught us is on managing IS infrastructure and services. The lecture covered the components of an IS infrastructure, hardware, systems software, computer networking, internet, energy consumption, storage needs, and demand fluctuation. We covered a wide range of topics within MIS. The lecture was very informative and intriguing because, we were shown a few you tube videos on how technology has revolutionized the way businesses are run and managed in today's world. From the lecture I would say I learned about the different types of computers that businesses use today, the software and application software that businesses use for their operations, and the different types of computer networks that they use to effectively carry out their basic duties and difficult duties.
MIS Seminar on Friday
This week in the seminar we did work on excel and we completed these exercises which, are designed to make use more competent in excel formulas and recording our data. We covered this because, we are likely to do this in the upcoming coursework. Also within our seminar I asked the team leader of our group
