Reflection of the Lecture
For the first lecture for Management Information Systems we went over the two pieces of coursework we are supposed to do this year for this module. The lecturer went over the first piece of group work coursework assignment and the 9 weekly blogs including an extra week for the Easter holiday. We were told that it is mandatory to do these pieces of coursework to pass the whole module. We were also informed on the task and how it is focused on identifying problems with a business and offer them IS solutions to support them in resolve business problems. For the second piece of coursework we were told by the lecturer that we will have to produce an individual reflective report which is to be at least 2000 words long, reflecting on how members of the group worked as a team on the 1st piece of coursework.
Reflection on Seminars
In the first seminar me and my group covered all of the roles we will likely take on for the first piece of coursework, we covered our objectives as a group and, we chose the business that we will focus our coursework on. In addition to this, we also discussed the order in which we will execute the assignment. We also, came up with the name of the company which is the Edge Consultancy. We also established a structure within the team to ensure efficiency and, understand ability of one another's specific roles. The group consisted of five people who's names are Leroy, Sofia, Didier , Bernard and Kingsley. We also talked about how we will conduct the presentation and identified the best methods to present to do it effectively.
