Lecture Week 4 Monday:
At the beginning of the week the lecture was based upon enhancing business intelligence using information systems. The lecture focused mainly on business intelligence, we defined what is meant by business intelligence, threats and opportunities and continuous planning. Also for the lecture we covered database management systems, database and, we covered the different forms of databases which include forms, query and reports. In the lecture we also went over how businesses manage their mass data through the use of data warehouses and data marts. In addition to this, in the lecture decision support systems, expert systems, intelligent agents, machine learning and geographic information system. The lecture was in depth and helpful.
Seminar Week 4 Friday:
For the seminar on Friday morning we covered spreadsheet work that related to management information systems. We then were instructed by the tutor to make sure our group for the coursework have chosen the business we will analyse and, focus on for our coursework. In the seminar we learned various types of formula and we were taught how to implement these formulas into our spreadsheet work.
